Congratulations to Alexis D’Souza for Receiving Harvey Nash USA’s Employee Spotlight of the Month

Staffing Spotlight
Posting date: 23 September 2022
At Harvey Nash, our team is the heartbeat of our culture and values. They are at the front lines with employees, clients, and candidates. We couldn't do what we do without our EPIC team! This month we are shining the spotlight on Alexis D'Souza, who's been at Harvey Nash as a Regional Sales Director for six years (and some change) and seven years in the recruiting industry.

Tell us more about your business, how many people, and what markets do you focus on?

I am a part of our 25-person team in the West Coast Region of the USA. I help to manage our sales team of 6 while simultaneously running my own book of business. My sales team and I focus on all technology companies West of the Mississippi river. My personal book of business is made up of ¾ start up- medium-sized businesses while the remainder are larger enterprises.

Tell us a bit about yourself. How long have you been with Harvey Nash Group? What's your background?

I started my career recruiting for a logistics sales organization, helping them to expand offices on the West Coast. I then came to Harvey Nash USA 6 years ago, starting out as a recruiter, and after becoming close with a couple of mentors, I quickly knew I wanted to move into a sales role. So fast forward six years and a few promotions later. I am now managing our West Coast sales team!

What's the biggest opportunity for your business right now?

My team and I are on the cusp of some really exciting growth. We have 5-6 key contract accounts that we are leaning into for the remainder of 2022 and the start of the 2023 year. Prior to the leadership change, HN USA was very FTE-focused. There has been some healthy change and shift in order for us to grow financially and continue growing our West Coast Regional offices.

…and what's the biggest challenge?

The biggest opportunity and challenge present to be the same! There is so much opportunity for contract growth in our region however, with that opportunity comes more competition. My team has learned more in the past year or two than ever before, and we are making major strides forward to accomplish our goals.
What are you looking forward to most to this fall?
The leaves changing color  ;) …kidding kidding. I'm looking forward to a few new clients that our team will be onboarding and a few key accounts ramping up into hiring mode again. I'm also really looking forward to our Performance Forum and meeting everyone in person!

And finally…
