Q&A With Nicholas

Tell us more about your business, how many people, what markets do you focus on?

I mostly work on full-time and direct-hire openings in Senior Engineering and higher. I’ve also taken on a new Account Management role within Harvey Nash USA to help identify recruitment expansion efforts within various organizations we’re partnered with. From there, I am one of the only people in Harvey Nash USA that runs a full desk.

Tell us a bit about yourself, how long have you been with Harvey Nash Group, what’s your background?

I’ve been at Harvey Nash USA for a little over 3 years and in Recruitment for a total of approximately 4 years. I got my Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry but I recruiting is my career since I wanted a little more excitement! 

What’s the biggest opportunity for your business right now?

The biggest opportunity would be to continue to expand the Account Management position to each one of our more major accounts especially on the Perm side of our business.

…and what’s the biggest challenge?

The job market is so hot right now that it is not uncommon for a candidate to begin a brand new interview process while having 8-10 other interviews already lined up.

What are you looking forward to most this year?

Hopefully getting together as a group in person again soon! I can’t wait to get some in-person collaboration time.

What’s on your playlist?

Truly a little bit of everything! Now that summer is approaching the amount of country that’s on my playlist is drastically increasing. Can’t ignore that Harry Styles is a modern day rock star either.  

Hobbies:

For those that know me know that I don’t shut up about fly fishing, skiing, and backpacking.

Dream vacation:

My next big vacation will have to be somewhere in the middle-east or go back to somewhere in Central Asia.
