Meet Kirti Sagar - Harvey Nash USA's Senior IT Recruiter and Employee of the Month

Blog Post
Posting date: 26 April 2022

"Kirti came into Harvey Nash USA blazing - taking over the leaderboard for activity within ETD the first few weeks of being on staff.  This is typically a feat that takes someone months and months to achieve but she came in and superseded our expectations from the start.  Her activity has already turned into many successful placements – most notably a fill on her 14th day of work – breaking a 12 year record on the ETD team.  We continue to be impressed by her ability to lead our team (and sometimes the country) with her recruiting efforts."

– Erick Bosquez, ETD Market Director

Q&A with Kirti

Tell us more about your work, how many people are on your team, and what markets do you focus on?

As a Senior IT Recruiter, I have over 11 years of experience placing consultants in technical roles in and across the country and end-to-end Recruitment. I have focused on building long-term relationships with both candidates and clients throughout my career.

I am currently handling multiple assignments and am successful with efficiently interviewing and placing candidates and am working on implementing innovative recruitment strategies for filling positions with hard-to-find candidates with critical skills. I work in the ETD Team under Erick Bosquez in the US Market with a close-knit team of twelve recruiters.

Tell us a bit about yourself; how long have you been with Harvey Nash Group, what's your background?

In the 11 years I've been in the staffing and recruiting industry, I've never worked with a more intelligent and active group than Harvey Nash USA. The personalities and enthusiasm of our team members are so inspiring and are a great help in improving my career and learning new things. I've always wanted to be in charge of my duties. In the five years I've been working with Harvey Nash USA, I've become proficient in handling multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, always with a positive and cheerful attitude.

What's the biggest opportunity for you in recruiting right now?

The biggest opportunity is the vibrant market for talented candidates and multiple options of working hybrid/remote. Staffing and recruiting nowadays look significantly different from just two years ago. I predict that because virtually recruiting remote candidates, which costs less and is less time-consuming, will become the new industry norm, and remote work will expand available talent pools immensely.

…and what's the biggest challenge?

The market is very competitive. As a result, employers need to persuade passive candidates to choose their company over the competition. Sometimes the hiring process may be too long, or hiring teams might struggle to reach a consensus. These delays in the recruiting process can result in precious candidates finding jobs elsewhere. Engaging qualified candidates for more than two weeks is a non-starter. Most often, candidates will start the assignments and then leave after a day or two because they know other jobs are waiting for them with possibly better options.

What are you looking forward to most in 2022?
