Employee Spotlight Interview with Tulsi Aagiri

At Harvey Nash, our team is the heartbeat of our culture and values. They are at the frontlines with employees, clients and candidates. We couldn't do what we do without our EPIC team! This month we are shining the spotlight on Tulsi Aagiri, she has been with us for almost 10 years and has has gotten glowing recommendations from all that work with her. To kick start our spotlight with a quote from our valued client about Tulsi.

I want to send you a quick note about how much I appreciate Tulsi’s work and partnership. She has been an awesome recruiting partner for my team from the past 2 years and has delivered multiple contractor hires. She has earned trust with me and my team to the extent that some of my reqs are exclusive to Tulsi. I have confidence that she will able to find the right candidate within the timeline I give her.  While the interviewing team juggle with different priorities, Tulsi comes up with creative ways to work with the interviewers to keep the ball rolling. I look forward to the continuing partnership with Tulsi and team.

Tell us more about your business, how many people, what markets do you focus on?

I am responsible for running the portfolio from the Client delivery perspective. I handle the client communication and delivery for Amazon, FRB of SF, SCIF, Experian, CommonSpirit, Dropbox, & SAP for the US market. At present, we are approaching a contractor headcount of around 160.

Tell us a bit about yourself, how long have you been with Harvey Nash Group, what’s your background?

I joined Harvey Nash Group in October 2020 as part of the Latitude 36 acquisition. In next 2 months I will complete 9 years with the company. I am from Hyderabad, India and moved to the United States in 2012 to pursue my master’s in information systems. I then joined Latitude36 as an intern in 2013. I started as a Recruiter and moved to Client service in 2017. I am in California with my husband, son Abhinav (14) and my dog Maxx.

What’s the biggest opportunity for your business right now?

The biggest opportunity is to maximize each account with our new recruiting team members- particularly with middle-range clients that have a high upside for growth and larger clients where we can still expand into new categories. The opportunities have been endless this year and now we have the team built up to optimally support it- the sky is the limit.

…and what’s the biggest challenge?

This year has been a roller coaster in many ways, after the initial COVID days hiring is on spree. Clients have been hiring in all sectors, keeping up with the volume and maintaining the quality with speed is the challenge. It is exciting to drive growth, we have been adding more and more team members to meet the needs.

What are you looking forward to most in 2021?

Being in December, holiday for sure! Looking forward to end the year with satisfying results and start 2022 with great energy and most definitely seeing take one step forward to grow further in the role.

And finally…

What’s on your playlist?

My playlist is all over place, it really depends on the mood.  Mostly, our home playlist is dominated by my Son, mostly albums. We also have Bollywood / Tollywood songs playing most times.

Hobbies: My favorite hobby is hanging out with my family. My son is growing up too fast. I have a couple of years before he leaves for college. I try to spend as much time as I can with him and my younger one (my dog). A new hobby alert is baking 😊

Tell us something we don’t know about you? I love dance. I have done stage shows in the past (long long time ago) and recently have starting training in Indian classical dance.
