Breaking Barriers: Lessons Learned from Trailblazing Women

Technology is not the only industry facing a gender gap. As the breakdown of men to women in the labor force balances out at 50/50, women across diverse industries have broken down barriers, overcome obstacles, and risen to the top of their fields.

ARA Chicago’s December event will showcase a panel discussion with leading women in traditionally male-dominated sectors like the culinary world, banking, sportscasting, and more. The goal? A candid conversation to identify lessons that can help women, regardless of the career path they pursue, with time for audience engagement.

Panelists include:

  • Stephanie Izard, Executive Chef for Girl & the Goat, Little Goat and Top Chef Season 4 Winner
  • Connie Lindsey, Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate Social Responsibility and Global Diversity & Inclusion for Northern Trust
  • Sarah Spain, espnW columnist & TV personality, SportsCenter Anchor & host for ESPN1000
  • Retired Colonel Jill Morgenthaler, Author, Leadership Expert, International Speaker

The panel will be moderated by Brenna Berman, Commissioner & CIO at Department of Innovation & Technology, City of Chicago.
